Hi Philip!
Welcome to our forum! Thanks, it is our honor to represent and keep the PS legacy alive over here at our part of the globe. Hopefully someday, we can introduce and educate the people here about the PS legacy thru events and exhibitions.
Have you seen the photos we did for Don's docu film?... you can ask Vic to send them to you if you want.
Yes, it looks like our PS group is slowly getting bigger..... remember, there were only 2 of us (flik and i) when we started out. We all had a fun time doing our recent photo shoot, and seeing all the pictures that we took makes it all worthwhile.
Our group started out as 'Airsofters' but now we also enjoy doing reenactment and impressions as we in the group are all interested in military history and military equipment detail.
I met Don for a late dinner when he passed by HK last week, we had a very good chat about the docu film. He was very happy about all our efforts that we put in this project.
I hope that we can also meet you in person if ever you pass by HK sometime in the future.
cheers -rommel

Thank you for the response!
BTW here is some very important and interesting info were in your group could participate and support in on Dec. 2008 in Manila.
Your group is the biggest unit outside of California that could put together a strong representation about the Scouts and help participate with Col. Aguilar's call for support for this big event. Also a great place to receate in the actual locations with Col Aguilar's men. It would be great if you all could make it happen a trip back home In Dec. aside from being the Holidays.
here is Col. Aguilar's email message to our group.
Another year of blessing from the Lord, a step towards all my dreams. I am now the Deputy Commander of the Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) stationed at Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac. The timing of I disagreeignment was really an opportune time for the historical consciousness to be given a bigger chance especially as I am placed where Filipino and American POWs suffered under the Japanese.
I introduced the use of the khaki for our color detail during our unit anniversary last 1 Aug and was appreciated by no less than our Army Commanding General. The incumbent TRADOC Commander, Maj Gen Carlos Holganza was truly amazed with the response and has toyed the idea of making it a permanent component of our ceremonial functions from here on.
He wants a platoon to be outfitted with uniforms, accessories and equipment. No problem with equipment, we still have some M1903 rifles and maybe M1917 Browning water-cooled machine guns lying in our warehouses in Camp Aguinaldo. The khaki uniforms can be faithfully reproduced with materials coming from Divisioria but the problem is the webbings, leggings and helmets. I may still use the Kelly helmets molded in hard plastic thru Prof Mel Silvestre. I also want the short pants and short sleeved khaki uniform be included but I no longer have a pattern for the guinit hat for reproduction.
We will try to raise the needed amount to acquire the items but again the problem is its availability in-country. We have no recourse but to look for repros. I don't know if these could be obtained in Hongkong.
On the 1st week of December, we will host the ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) at Camp O'Donnell.
There will be ten (10) countries participating at about 50 to 60 men / women per contingent, to include ours. This is a big event in our Army's history. I will be in charge of the competition on the ground for the 2-week period.
I wanted a space in the entire competition dedicated to showcasing our rich military history but I am still at a loss on how to package it. I might be asking the assistance of Buhay na Kasaysayan and the Military Vehicle Group to help brighten the occasion. This is also where our platoon size honor guard will first be in use. I intend the opening ceremonies as the opportunity to present this to have a lasting impact.
If you still have contact with the Filipino reenactors group there, please reveal to them my plans. I am concentrated on the preparations for the competition and they may share their expertise in reenactments as a component of another big event. This is a chance for historical reenactment in the Philippines to be seen in the ASEAN region and even by our own men who will see this for the first time, if ever.
I intend all individuals interested in military heritage to make this as an eye-opener, a debut. Your suggestions will be most welcome.
Resty

Thak you again guys!

I was planning to join you guys there for the videoshoot with Donald, being here in Singapore. Unfortunately I left all my gear and uniforms back in California. Would any of you guys have an extra set of uniforms and gear I borrow to use to join in the video shoot? If you are short of members who will join the shoot. hey Philip, i have a spare officer's shirt and i guess we can provide you with the pistol belt, holster, pistol, 1st aid pouch and canteen.
we are short on the other stuff, but if Don can bring his helmet and leggings and if you can provide the trousers and shoes, that will be great and we're good to go.
