Winter would be best. The trees don't offer much shade since they are still young. Go in the middle of the week to avoid crowds Email from Michael Eisner & Bob Igor, the Disney presidents: Dear Fellow Cast Member:
Today, we celebrate a truly momentous occasion in the history of our company, the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland. It has been an incredible journey getting to this incredible day. For six years, we have been working with our partner on the project, the Hong Kong government, to build this wonderful destination.
Now what was once a dream has become a fantastic reality. The site on Lantau Island is spectacular, backed up by green hills with a view across Penny's Bay toward Hong Kong itself. Taking advantage of this magnificent view are two beautiful themed hotels, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hollywood Hotel. Then there is the park itself. Modeled after the original Disneyland in Anaheim, it brims with Disney creativity and innovation, highlighted by such beloved Disney attractions as Space Mountain, the Jungle Cruise, the Festival of the Lion King, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Mickey's Philharmagic, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo and, of course, the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. As we continue the celebration of Disneyland's 50th, this magnificent new park vividly demonstrates the international appeal of the Disneyland concept - a magical place the whole family can enjoy together.
You can see for yourself by taking a "tour" at Hong Kong Disneyland's Web site, park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage
Today, you could feel the excitement as the park officially opened its gates to the people of China.
For our company, Hong Kong Disneyland has importance far beyond the resort itself, as it is bringing greater awareness of all of our lines of businesses in the region, from Disney movies to new television programming to disney.com to Disney on Ice to ESPN to Mickey Mouse Magazine to innovative Disney wireless initiatives. The potential for Disney in the world's most populous nation is enormous.
We want to congratulate all of you who worked so hard for so many years on this remarkable project. We also want to welcome the 5,000 new cast members who are bringing the Disney experience to our guests at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Given the beauty of the resort and all of our company's other efforts in the region, it is with extreme confidence that we look to the future and expect a joyous occasion, celebrated across China ... when Hong Kong Disneyland commemorates its 50th anniversary in 2055. We'll be 113 and 104 years old respectively, and we hope to see you there!

Announced today that they are doing the second phase of HK Disneyland just right next to the new park. And also the possibility of a Shanghai Disneyland.
How about a Philippine Disneyland? Too costly?

I have looked John but not to hard yet. I have no idea about the water. Knowing their security I wouldn't be surprised...they are "A" holes
